What is the new PWA system?
The PWA stands for Progressive Web App. It is your personal fitness dashboard — track running,
walking, cycling, skiing, swimming, yoga, and strength training. No downloads. Just save to your home screen.
Do I need to pay to join?
Joining My Time Fitness has always been a free challenge. Our PWA has many free features that will allow you to track your activities and stay motivated all year.
How do I register?
Visit Join The Challenge, create an account, set your 2026 goals, and your dashboard loads instantly.
Why do I need to create a new account on the new website?
The 2026 platform is an entirely new system — rebuilt from the ground up with a PWA dashboard, new tracking tools, badges, and improved performance. Because of this, old accounts cannot be transferred, and every user starts fresh for 2026.
Is there a deadline to join the 2026 Challenge?
No — you can join anytime throughout the year!
Your journey begins the moment you register. Whether you start on January 1st or July 14th, your progress and goals still matter. This challenge is built for your life, your timing, and your momentum.

Medal & Shipping
Are medals limited edition?
Yes — every year’s medal is a limited-edition design created just for that year’s Challenge.
Once a year ends, that medal is never produced again. Many participants collect them proudly as part of their fitness journey. ❤️🇨🇦

Why is the 2026 medal more expensive this year?
The 2026 edition is our most premium medal yet. Costs increased due to:
• A larger and heavier medal design
• New maple leaf attachments
• Higher production and material costs
• Increased shipping fees due to weight
We work hard to keep pricing fair while offering a medal you’ll be proud to earn and display.

Do I need PRO to get the medal?
No. You can earn the medal without PRO. When you purchase the medal, PRO is included for one year at no extra cost — but you don’t have to use the PRO features if you don’t want to.
Can I buy the medal without joining the Challenge?
Yes — the medal is available for anyone to purchase.
You do not need to use the PWA or participate in the Challenge to order the medal. Many people buy it for motivation, as a keepsake, or as a gift for someone who is taking part.

Is shipping included in the medal price?
Yes — shipping is included for all Canadian orders. There are no hidden fees or surprise charges at checkout. Your medal ships directly to your door with tracking.
When will I receive my medal?
Medals are shipped as soon as we receive your order. Shipping times vary by location, but most Canadian orders arrive within 5–10 business days. You’ll receive a tracking email as soon as your medal ships.
Do I have to finish the Challenge before receiving my medal?
No — you receive the medal right away. Many challengers love having the medal early as motivation throughout the year. Whether you hang it up or keep it tucked away, it's yours to earn one kilometre at a time.
Can I change my shipping address after ordering?
Yes — as long as your medal hasn’t shipped yet.
Please email mytime@agreatcanadianrunningchallenge.ca right away with your updated address. Once your medal is in transit, changes are no longer possible, but we’ll always do our best to help.

Account & Profile
Is my profile visible to everyone?
Only if you choose to appear in the Community tab. Turn visibility on/off in My Profile → Privacy Settings.
Can I block someone from following me?
This feature is coming soon! For now, you can deny their request to follow you.
If you prefer not to appear in the Community, you can hide your profile by going to:

When hidden, no one can find you, follow you, or view your progress.

Why do you collect my personal information on my profile?
We collect your information in case we need to contact you if you placed an order or won a prize. We may also send you a birthday “Get Moving” message to keep you motivated. Adding personal information is optional. Your personal information will never be shared.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account permanently, please email mytime@agreatcanadianrunningchallenge.ca using the email address associated with your account. We will remove your profile, activities, and data within 48 hours.
Logging Activities
How do I log activities?
Go to My Activities → Log Activity. Choose activity type, enter distance or yoga / strength training session, and save.
Can I set one combined kilometre goal for 2026, or do I need to break my goals down by activity?
For the 2026 Challenge, goals are set by activity category (running, walking, cycling, skiing, swimming, etc.),
rather than one single combined kilometre goal.
This allows the PWA to track your progress more accurately, display detailed stats, and support future features like leaderboards, badges, and Strava integration.
That said — you can absolutely still mix your activities throughout the year. When you click the Activities icon in your dashboard, you’ll see your combined total kilometres across all activities in one place.
Many participants simply divide their overall goal across the activities they plan to do most.
There’s no “right” way to set your goals — this is your Challenge, and your goals can always be adjusted as the year goes on.

Can I edit or delete an activity after logging it?
Yes! Go to My Activities → Activity History and you’ll see an option to delete any entry. You must manually re-enter the correct entry. This helps you correct mistakes or update activities if something changes.
How do I log yoga and strength training?
You can log yoga and strength sessions inside the activity logger by selecting the correct category.
There is no minimum time requirement — it's completely up to you. This is your challenge, and you decide what counts as a meaningful session.

Can I track walking, cycling, skiing, swimming, yoga, and strength?
Yes! The 2026 PWA lets you track all main activities — including running, walking, cycling, skiing, swimming, yoga, and strength sessions. Everything counts toward your annual momentum!
Can I count hiking, elliptical, or other exercise?
Yes! You can count similar activities such as hiking, treadmill walking/running, elliptical, stair climber, snowshoeing, or other movement that is comparable to walking or running.
The goal is to get moving — choose the activities that fit your lifestyle and body.

Will you be adding more activity types like hiking, skating, or snowshoeing?
For the 2026 launch, we are starting with simple, grouped activity categories to keep the app stable and easy for everyone to use.

Why are activities grouped instead of listed individually?
Grouping activities keeps the PWA simple, stable, and reliable for all members — especially as we prepare for Strava integration.
This approach:
• prevents technical issues
• keeps your dashboard clean
• ensures totals & streaks calculate properly

Why is my activity not showing immediately?
Most activities appear instantly. If yours hasn’t, try refreshing your dashboard. In rare cases, browser caching may delay updates by a few seconds.
Can I sync my activities with my GPS watch or device?
We are currently working to complete this phase of our PWA and hope to have Strava connected before January 1st!
Will Strava automatically map my activities to the right category?
Yes! When Strava integration is live, your activity type will sync and map to the correct grouped category in your dashboard.
Example:
• Strava “Hike” → Walking
• Strava “Snowshoe” → Skiing
• Strava “Walk” → Walking
Later in 2026, you’ll be able to select more specific sub-activities if you prefer.

Why not add every Strava activity type right now?
Strava has over 100 activity types, and adding them all at once would slow development and delay the launch of PRO features and Strava syncing.
Starting with grouped categories allows us to deliver a smooth, stable app for everyone on January 1st.

I mainly hike, snowshoe, or skate — will my activity still count?
Absolutely! Everything counts toward your movement goals.
Simply log your activity under the closest category:
• Hiking → Walking
• Snowshoeing → Skiing
• Ice skating → Skiing
• Indoor cycling → Cycling

When will more detailed activity types be added?
Our priority for January 2026 is to deliver a stable app with complete PRO features and working Strava integration.
Once these core features are launched and tested, we’ll begin adding more detailed activity options and sub-categories based on member feedback.

Why does MTF have fewer options than Strava?

Can I count my daily steps?
You may count your steps at your own discretion.
We encourage intentional movement — such as going for a walk, a run, or another purposeful activity — but ultimately, this is your challenge and you choose how you want to reach your goals.

Do my 2025 kilometres transfer to the new 2026 platform?
No. Each year of the Challenge starts fresh so you can set new goals and track a brand-new journey. Your 2025 data stays on the original site, and 2026 begins with a clean slate on the new PWA.
Using the PWA
What is a PWA?
PWA stands for Progressive Web App.
It looks and feels like an app, but runs through your web browser.
This means you don’t need to download anything from an app store. You simply add it to your home screen and enjoy an app-like experience — fast, simple, and always up to date.

Why can’t I find My Time Fitness in the App Store?
My Time Fitness is a PWA, not a traditional app store app.
That’s actually a good thing! It allows us to:
• update features instantly (no app updates needed)
• support both iPhone and Android with one platform
• avoid app store restrictions and extra fees
• keep the experience fast and lightweight
To install it, just open the site in your browser and choose Add to Home Screen. You’ll then see the app icon on your phone like any other app.

No — your data is safely stored on our secure servers, not just on your phone.
This means you can log in from any device and your activities, goals, and progress will still be there.

Can my kids or family members join too?
Absolutely! The Challenge is open to all ages and all fitness levels. Many families participate together to stay active and motivated throughout the year. Just remember: each participant needs their own account to track their progress.
What’s the Move7 Momentum feature?
Move7 Momentum encourages you to move your body at least 7 days each month. Each month you complete your 7 days, you earn a Momentum Badge. It’s a fun, low-pressure way to stay engaged and build healthy habits all year long.
What happens if I miss a day of activity?
Nothing bad! Life happens. The Challenge is flexible — simply get back to your routine the next day. Your journey is about consistency over time, not perfection.
Can I participate if I’m just starting my fitness journey?
YES! This Challenge was built for beginners, walkers, runners, and everyone in between. You set your own goals and move at your own pace. No pressure — just progress, one step at a time.

How does the 30-day money-back guarantee work if I buy MTF PRO?

How do I renew MTF PRO after one year?
Your PRO access lasts for one full year from the date of activation. When it expires, simply visit the PRO page and purchase another year to renew. You will always receive an email reminder before your plan expires.
